FITNESS CENTER RULES
The Fitness Center is located on the ground floor of the Community Building for the use of MEMBERS ONLY. Members are not allowed to bring guests to the Fitness Center.
The fitness center is for the use of Hampton House members only.
Members must use their membership card/key fob to enter the fitness center. Do not open the door for anyone who does not have their membership card/key fob.
Be prepared to show proper ID and/or membership card/key fob at any time to staff upon request.
Use of the facility is a member privilege. Any abuse, including allowing unauthorized entry, may result in the loss of access.
Members and their guests using the tennis courts, volleyball courts, and playground may access the fitness center restrooms through the designated side entrance with badge reader access. Individuals must not disturb fitness center patrons while passing through the facility.
Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to use the fitness center. Members ages 13 to 15 may use the fitness center only when accompanied and supervised by an adult Hampton House member (age 18 or older) and require successful completion of a one-time Hampton House-approved training class before accessing the gym. Members ages 16 and older may use the fitness center unaccompanied.
Members should consult their physician before engaging in any physical activity.
Use the Fitness Center at your own risk.
Do not use any piece of equipment that is not in proper working order as injury may result.
Report any hazardous condition, broken equipment, or damage to the facilities as soon as possible to the Director.
Working out with a partner is advised whenever possible.
Never lift heavy weights without a spotter.
Return all weights to their racks after use.
Do not drop weights on the floor.
Members must wear proper gym attire when using the facility that are appropriate in a family facility setting. Proper athletic shoes are required. Open toed shoes are not allowed.
Members are required to wipe down the equipment after each use with provided cleaning spray or wipe.
There is a 30-minute time limit on cardio machines when others are waiting.
No food is allowed in the fitness center.
Remove mud, sand, clay, etc. upon entry to any of the Hampton House facilities. No mud, clay, sand, etc. allowed on equipment.
Only Hampton House-approved personal trainers are allowed to train members in the fitness center. The fitness center has personal trainers for hire to assist members with fitness needs. Information is available on the website and fitness center board. To obtain approval, personal trainers must complete the following:
Register as personal trainer with the Director of the Hampton House by emailing Director@hamptonhouse-hamptoncove.com or calling the Hampton House.
Provide proof of personal training certification.
Provide proof of professional liability insurance.
Pay $5 per lesson to the Hampton House.
