A variety of fitness classes are held at the Hampton House for members only. Check social media for updates, registration, and schedules.

We do have personal trainers for you to hire to assist you with your fitness needs. You may not bring in a trainer that is not approved by Hampton House.

  • Amanda Flood has been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for ten years. Inspired to get back into shape after the birth of her first daughter, she became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Amanda has coached a wide range of clients both in person and virtually and specializes in group fitness. She became a group fitness coach at Orangetheory Fitness (OTF) in 2015 and has coached OTF classes ever since in Maryland and Alabama. Amanda is certified as a Women's Fitness Specialist and Behavior Change Specialist. Amanda has certifications in TRX Suspension and Functional Training, Integrated Flexibility, and MMA Conditioning.

    She was a Lululemon ambassador from 2016-2018 where she expanded her knowledge through Lululemon’s diverse fitness community.

    Amanda graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Criminology in 2008 and has since earned a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology. She remains active in the University of Maryland chapter of the CHAARG organization, which is a health and fitness organization at over 110 campuses nationwide that aims to change attitudes about health and fitness, primarily for those who feel underrepresented in the fitness world.

    Amanda moved to Hampton Cove in 2020 with her husband, Paul, and their two daughters. She loves the Hampton House community and is looking forward to expanding health and fitness to its members.

AMANDA FLOOD

  • Jana Marshall joined the fitness industry in 1984 while attending The University of Texas. After graduating, she taught school for 7 years and married a Marine pilot. The military lifestyle allowed her to pivot her teaching career to marketing and producing children’s programs for Westmark malls. All the while she maintained her fitness connections through out the transition of careers and moves.

    Jana started Balanced 5 Fitness in 2010. As a personal trainer, Jana loves working with people and empowering them to be better than they were when they first met. Jana believes there is little in life that is more satisfying than helping people feel confident and successful in some small way. It is a GIFT!

    Jana teaches the very basics, meeting people where they are and building from there. Creating workouts that balance all the muscles is critical… especially as our bodies age. Jana emphasizes cueing, which is HUGE in getting people to have a mind body connection. Jana enjoys educating and explaining the “why” in the workouts. People do better when they understand the reason behind the effort. In addition, it is FUN!

    Jana is NASM/AFAA Certified Personal Trainer specializing in Functional Programing for females. Certified TRX Suspension Training Exercise; NASM Certified stretch and flexibility coach; NASM Certified in Corrective Exercise specialist; IDEA FIT Biomechanics Method Corrective Exercise Specialist.

    Jana and her late husband, Bob, moved to Hampton Cove in 2004. It has been a perfect place to land after her husband’s 22 year Marine career.

  • My name is Christy Scott and I currently reside in Huntsville, Alabama. I’m a wife, a mom, a Boxer mom, a runner, a yogi, a weight lifting meathead, an obstacle course racer, a rock climber, a trainer and a coach, an adventurer, and a forever student of everything fascinating!

    I have been training, teaching, and coaching for 25 years and I can honestly say that I have loved every minute of it. I live and breathe fitness and adventure and I enjoy sharing it with everyone that will listen! I have coached hundreds of people over the years, with my main focus being to show them what they are capable of. So many people underestimate their potential, so it’s my job to bring it out and show them that they CAN do it! I truly believe that you should do something that scares you on a regular basis.

    I am a lover of learning. I am constantly continuing my education with workshops, reading and studying up on the newest trends and research in our industry. The people that I work with are so much more than just “clients”. They are friends. I have built some lifelong friendships that I am so thankful for. I have watched their kids grow up and gone on cool adventures with many of them. They are my people and the best part of my “job”.
